Volunteer Training
East Mountain House sent out our need for future volunteer caregivers —and you responded! We aspire to build a community centered around love and courageous presence, which is a willingness to be upright with whatever presents itself. Thus, it is with eager anticipation that we are writing to invite you to the first two training sessions for East Mountain House’s volunteer program.
February 15-16 | The Grove, Lakeville, CT
Roy Remer, Executive Director of The Zen Caregiving Project in San Francisco will join us for an immersive experience in mindful caregiving.
All are welcome, one need not be “Buddhist”.
Roy has been an educator and end of life caregiver since 1997, and we are honored to host him, as mindfulness in caregiving is one of our core values.
Roy is certified by the Stanford University School of Medicine, Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education (CCARE), and the Compassion Institute as a Compassion Cultivation Training (CCT©) instructor.
Each day will be 5 hours with a break for lunch.

This session will focus on end-of-life doula training.
