Where Your Donation Goes

Every dollar donated to East Mountain Foundation directly supports:

  • 24-hour skilled care for our guests
  • Training and support for volunteers who provide companionship and presence
  • Maintaining a home-like environment (not an institutional facility)
  • Our philanthropic “bridge-the-gap” model, ensuring no one is turned away due to inability to pay
  • Educational programs that help our community approach death with more understanding and less fear

The Cost of Compassionate Care

Providing round-the-clock care in a home setting costs approximately $850 per day per guest. $5,950 – Covers one week of care for a guest with limited financial means. Many families contribute what they can. Some contribute the full amount. Others contribute nothing—not because they don’t want to, but because terminal illness has already depleted their resources.

Community donations fill the gap. They ensure that a person’s final weeks aren’t defined by what they can afford, but by the care and connection they deserve.
